IoT based energy conservation project
At 10 a.m. on April 3, Festo details a successful ISO50001 implementation that utilized data available from a cloud-based dashboard. Facility personnel can access trend, comparison, and diagnostics data from anywhere in the company. Both from a physical and controls perspective, Festo will describe installation steps and benefits. A white paper on this IoT implementation will be available to session attendees. The conference session will be held at Stage 4, Booth 2276.

The Festo MSE6-E2M pneumatic energy efficiency module monitors the condition of pneumatics on process equipment, skids or packaging machinery. When paired with the new, Festo CPX IOT gateway the E2M module provides real time analytics. An active demonstration displays a dashboard from E2M modules at the Festo technology/production facility in Scharnhausen, Germany.
Industry 4.0 modularity and reconfigurability demonstrated
Interphex attendees are invited to experience the 2019 Festo Motion Terminal augmented reality demonstration. The Festo Motion Terminal – VTEM – is a cyber-physical pneumatic valve that changes functionality via downloadable cloud-based apps. A VTEM terminal can potentially replace 50 different components. The augmented reality demonstration shows how various apps can quickly generate innovative solutions with fewer components.
