The MHJ serie is under 1ms. And Festo already made great application for rice sorting for instance. They are able to build a special valve terminal with a complete key turn solution

This company cpoac is a Bosch Company since about 10 years. The valve you mentioned is an ISO1 5/2 pneumaticaly operated spring return. As far as I know these valves are not for sale anymore but you can replace it by any ISO 1 valve.

Dear Edward The closest unit within the currect CKD range would be a precision regulator RP1000-8-02 which has a pressure setting range of 0.0003 to 0.2mpa (2 bar). As this unit is a precision regulator, then you will have to be aware that the units will constantly bleed air to ensure constant regulated supply. Otherwise you are looking at a standard filter regulator unit W1000-8G-W-L which has a maximum pressure setting of 0.35mpa (3.5 Bar) and a minimum of 0.05mpa (1/2 Bar)

They are called 4 way(which I think is correct) or 5 way for the number of ports. I think that the original valve companies used to make them with a common exhaust (4 port) and the name stuck. So when the 5th port shopwed up it caused some confususion.

for example 5/2 way valve… 5 means the no. of port, and 2 means the no. of position.

I normally tell people that when describing a directional control valve, to just use numbers and avoid “ways”. example is: if during a telephone conversation, the person on the other end of a line wants to crossover a “four-way valve”. I that is receiving the call, don’t really know whether he is using a 4-port or a 5-port valve (unless I ask him how many exhaust ports his valve has). This is the reason why I avoid “way”. It is just very confusing to all. Why just use numbers…like a 4/2 valve is a 4-port, 2-position AND a 5/2 valve is a 5-port, 2-position. I’ve seen books describing a 5-port as five-way (the Industrial Training Zone, ITZ). Whereas other books described a 5-port as “four-way”

There is a unit on the market for high pressure applications. Maximum 414 Bar inlet pressures with a set outlet pressure of between 1 and 172 Bar (2500 PSI). This unit is 1/4″NPT threaded with a maximum flow of 1500 l/min – this is a non relieving type piston regulator. Brass construction. H = 175mm W = 55mm. These units retail at over £1700 each (not cheap)

Can you compete with the prices of filters, regulators and lubricators sold by harbor freight. These components that are sold by parker and others perform about the same as those sold by harbor freight. Why should I waste my money on higher priced products.
