This is an old 5/2 1/2 NPT Double Air Pilot Valve. Try Norgren or Spotton http://www.norgren.com http://www.spotton.com

Herion http://www.herionusa.com and Proportionair http://www.proportionair.com make proportional regulators. Never used one of either manufacturer personally.

If you are referring to the manufacturer “numatics” and their lap fit spools it could be the type of lubrication you are using. I came across a problem with a lap fitted spool valve where the customer was using hydraulic oil in his lubricator. The valves would appear to stop shifting but actually only shifted very slowly. Almost like they had a retarder, no matter hooow hard you pushed the spool by hand its movement remained very slow. A light push got the same results as a heavy force. Clean them out with solvent and they would operate for another period until enough oil got to them. Naturally the customer thought the fix was more lubrication so the problem continued to get worse instead of better. I never found out what was in the hydraulic oil that caused the problem but after its use was discontinued the problem ceased. I don’t remember what oil they started using but I believe it was a non-detergent 10 Wt. engine oil. Just a thought.

I would recommend contacting a Manufacturer or Distributor to visit you and recommend a solution.

Rc usually is used to designate BSPT internal thead. For example Rc 1/2-14 is a 1/2″ BSPT with 14 thread/in. I do not know of another use for the designation.

This press would operate at 10,000 PSI to meet the 100 Ton requirement. This is a common pressure for hydraulic circuits powered by an ENERPAC or OWATONA high pressure setup. Both oof these companies make Shop Presses. As for stroke it depends on the type of Air-Oil pump. Both of the aforementioned companies make reciprocaing intensifiers that would allow for a continuous pressure for the full stroke. However, it will not be a fast stroke, in fact it willl probably be very slooooow.

Bud: Thank you for the help on my press question. You helped me tremendously. It seems like I could convert it to an electric pump if it turns out to be too slow. The Enerpac designs are twice as fast with electric pumps.
